Typically, the sensor needs to be tightly attached within a range of 2 millimeters to achieve optimal performance and accuracy.


So, sometimes in order to ensure that the Hall sensor can stably detect magnetic pole changes, especially in precision control or space limited situations, it may be required that the distance between the sensor and the magnet be as small as possible (such as less than 2 millimeters). 2mm is a reasonable value, but it is not necessary. In practical applications, the appropriate distance can be selected within the range of 1-5 millimeters according to the specific situation.
