At present, among the magnet materials used on the market, the most magnetic ones are NdFeB magnets, which can withstand up to about 220°, followed by samarium cobalt, which can withstand temperatures up to 350 degrees. AlNiCo and ferrites are very magnetic. Weak, not strong magnetic, but the temperature resistance is quite good. This is also a law of magnets, magnetic force and temperature resistance are inversely proportional.

Comparison with ferrite: AlNiCo has much higher remanence and magnetic energy product than ferrite (ceramic magnets), making it a stronger magnet.
Comparison with samarium cobalt: Samarium cobalt outperforms aluminum-nickel-cobalt in terms of magnetic energy product and coercivity at room temperature, and it also has excellent temperature resistance (up to 300-350°C), but it is more expensive.
Comparison with neodymium-iron-boron: Neodymium-iron-boron has the highest magnetic energy product and coercivity today, making it the strongest “magnetic king” at room temperature. However, its fatal weakness is poor high-temperature performance (typically operating below 180°C, with high-temperature grades also below 230°C), and it is prone to demagnetization and corrosion at high temperatures.
Comparison with its historical status: Before the advent of rare earth permanent magnets (samarium cobalt, neodymium iron boron), aluminum nickel cobalt was the undisputed “magnetic king,” representing the strongest permanent magnets humanity could produce.
Summary: Aluminum-nickel-cobalt alloys undoubtedly belong to the traditional category of strong magnetic materials. They have written a glorious chapter in the history of permanent magnet materials, and with their high remanence and especially outstanding high-temperature stability and reliability, they continue to play an irreplaceable role in critical fields with high-temperature and high-reliability requirements. Although it has been surpassed in absolute magnetic performance by rare earth magnets such as neodymium-iron-boron, AlNiCo's stable performance under specific operating conditions makes it an indispensable “high-temperature strong magnetic guardian” in the permanent magnet material library.
